Naturopathic Family and Pediatric Medicine

The naturopathic approach to patient care begins with a foundation for healing by knowing the patient. All bodies have inherent strengths and weaknesses. A naturopathic physician is able to recognize patterns in an individual and practice preventive medicine by knowing and treating the whole individual. We treat patients at all stages of life including newborns, children, adults and geriatrics.

Environmental and food allergy skin testing

Non-invasive skin scratch allergy testing for 59 environmental and 13 food allergies is available, the gold standard of allergy testing. The testing takes 15 minutes, followed by a ½ hour consult. Individualized Sublingual immunotherapy is available at Morlan Medical for patients choosing to safely and effectively treat allergies. This treatment is as effective as weekly allergy injections for desensitization therapy.

Naturopathic Constitutional Hydrotherapy

Naturopathic constitutional hydrotherapy may be useful in almost any condition. However, it has been found to be particularly suited to digestive tract problems (dyspepsia, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis), respiratory problems (chronic asthma, bronchitis, pleurisy), infectious disease (colds, flu, lymphangitis), female reproductive problems (PMS, dysmenorrhea, infertility), immune deficiency problems (environmental hypersensitivity), circulatory problems (varicose veins, hemorrhoids, Raynaud’s disease, mild hypertension) and other ailments such as arthritis, diabetes, depression, obesity and psoriasis.

Naturopathic Nutritional IM/IV Therapy

Herbal Medicine

The use of plants to support the body is a great way to support health outcomes. We use herbal medicine with children and adults. Knowing the biochemistry, mechanisms of actions and contraindications of herbal and pharmaceutical medications allows for safe prescribing in younger and older patients.

ANNUAL WELLNESS EXams AND SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

We see newborns for their well-child checks . It is recommended that all children, ages 3 years and above (and adults), have a thorough physical exam once yearly. An annual exam is also an opportunity to be able to address prevention and other health concerns.
